2011-2012 BMW M6 G Power On The Luxury Sport Car

This year propeller heads from all around the country converged on Elkhart Lake,WI to testify to all things BMW. Brenda and I headed west on I-24 on August 23rd for what has become ritual - BMW CCA's Oktoberfest. Lots of rain on the way to Chicago. In record time we were in the Loop where we met 2011 BMW M6 friends from Houston, TX. We had a wonderful dinner and strolled about the city. Sunday morning we headed for Navy Pier for sightseeing and even managed to get in an architectural tour of the city. Brenda and I used to live in Chicago, but a lot has changed in 30 years. Early afternoon found us headed north to Elkhart Lake to be about things O'fest. After checking in we took a stroll about the premises of our home for the next week, the Osthoff Hotel.

2011 BMW M6

The place was literally infested with 2011 BMW M6 of all vintages, in addition to scads of motorhomes and trailers everywhere. A few years back the Concours de Elegance part of O'fest was moved from the last day of O'fest to the first day. So now, instead of a relaxed arrival day, it is a day of frenzy for all the people who are showing off their prized steeds in the ConCours de Elegance. The current set up makes more sense, however.

The My Pitnull Dog and I were worker bees this year and we enjoyed the fun of getting O'festers
registered for the week of festivities. Once one has been to enough of these events you come to know the amount of work it takes to pull off an event of this magnitude, and yet no one complains. They just go about the business of making Oktoberfest a fun time for all participants. We probably don't thank them enough. So here and now a big thank you to all O'fest Worker Bees. On Monday morning all the Con Cours de Elegance cars line up before preceding to the parade grounds to be judged and this is a sight for sore eyes. The sounds of the engines snarling in various tunes from deep throated 4's to sonorous V-12's all singing harmoniously to the various throttle blips of the drivers. Down the road a mile, or so, the club racers are hard at it running whatever. Club racers busy racing from early morning to early evening, no pampering for these guys. They come to race and race they do. These are mostly BMW M6, but Porsche's. Mustangs, Mazda's and other vehicles are out there running happily.

2011 BMW M6
Throughout the week of O'fest we rub elbows with 2011 BMW M6 brass and ask them questions about various things 2011 BMW M6. This year we got the word an M version of the 1 series is due in the spring of 2011. We actually got a small peek at the left front fender of the little beast. Too bad they weren't taking orders that evening because they probably could have sold 5 or 6 at the banquet - sight unseen. Once you get immersed in O'fest time seems to fly by and you wonder where it all went. Suddenly you are talking to your friends about next year and saying good by simultaneously. The 2011 O'fest is going to be in Birmingham, AL (actually in October) at Barber Motorsports. Hmm that is I-75S to I-24W to I-59. O'fest 2011!

2011 Honda Pilot 4WD SUV Car Full Technology System

The Honda Pilot was designed to fill a large American demand, particularly a larger SUV Car with third-row seating. Prior to the introduction of the Pilot, Honda only had the compact crossover SUV CR-V, and the Honda Passport which is truck-based and intended as a quick-fix, as the company recognized the competition from other refined mid-sized SUVs and crossovers. The Pilot shares underpinnings and the powertrain with the Acura MDX luxury SUV, and their platforms are shared with the Honda Odyssey minivan and the Honda Accord sedan. The Pilot’s unibody construction and independent suspension is designed to provide handling similar to that of car; however, it is also fortified with integrated perimeter frame rails, which helps it withstand towing and light off-road use. The Pilot is Honda's largest SUV, although the 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour surpassed the Pilot in length.

2011 Honda Pilot 4WD

The first Produce in 2003 Honda Pilot is propelled by an aluminum alloy 3.5 L SOHC, 24-valve VTEC V6 engine with timing belt driven camshafts. The engine is rated at 240 hp (179 kW) SAE @5400 rpm and 242 lb·ft (328 N·m) of torque @4500 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed automatic, which, as tested in a 2004 Pilot, results in a 0-60 mph time of 7.6 seconds and 1/4 mile sprint of 15.9 seconds. For the 2006 model, the power was 244 hp (182 kW) SAE @5600 rpm(4WD), 240 lb·ft (325 N·m) of torque @4500 rpm. Models from 2005 include a drive-by-wire throttle.

The Pilot weighs in at a little over 4,400 lb (1,996 kg), with a United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimated gas mileage for 2007 of 16 mpg-US (15 L/100 km; 19 mpg-imp) city and 22 mpg-US (11 L/100 km; 26 mpg-imp) highway for the two wheel drive model, and 15 mpg-US (16 L/100 km; 18 mpg-imp) city and 20 mpg-US (12 L/100 km; 24 mpg-imp) highway for the four wheel drive model. Also, like the MDX, the Pilot rides on struts up front with a coil-spring, multilink arrangement at the rear designed to allow a flat load floor. It also has the MDX’s wide track 66.3 in (1,684 mm) at the front and 66.5 in (1,689 mm) at the rear. The Pilot has a 4,500 lb (2,041 kg) boat/3,500 lb (1,588 kg) trailer towing capability. The FWD Pilot models feature the latest generation of Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), which is designed to help improve fuel economy* without sacrificing power. The system achieves this by automatically deactivating and reactivating multiple cylinders, depending on the engine’s needs.

2011 Honda Pilot 4WD SUV

The New Series 2011 Honda Pilot Replace for its lack of power and so fuel economy with a rock-solid chassis that tackles bumps and other imperfections with little fuss. Its rack and pinion steering is linear and nicely weighted as well, though there's not much that can make this big 'ute feel sprightly when turning into a curve. It snowed on the last day we had with the Honda Pilot, which gave us the opportunity to test the 2011 Honda Pilot all wheel drive setup. The system can transfer up to 70 percent of the engine's power to the rear wheels when the need arises. We experienced next to zero slip with all-wheel drive engaged, which translated into a lot of confidence when we needed it most. We can't say the same for the Honda Pilot brakes, though. While the pedal felt firm, we noticed that the positive vibe didn't translate into increased stopping power.

Power tailgate on New 2011 Honda Pilot Touring models gives you push-button access to the vehicle’s cavernous cargo area. Rear storage well is a large 2.8 cu ft, giving you plenty of cargo space, even when you’re loaded up with passengers. Its cover keeps valuables out of view. Drive to get something done. Anything at all. And with its 4-ft-wide fold-flat floor, 87 cu ft of cargo space,1 tie-down anchors, cargo-area bag hooks and a lift-up glass hatch for easy access, the Pilot is a fully functional toolbox.

2011 Honda Pilot 4WD

Drive comfy. The Honda Pilot is equipped with enough amenities to ensure that every passenger gets their fair share of pampering. This includes a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, including power lumbar support (EX and above), and 4-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat (EX-L, Touring).Rearview camera on Honda Pilot EX-L models without Navigation utilizes a portion of the rearview mirror as a full-color camera display when you engage reverse. On models with Navigation, the image is displayed on the vehicle’s navigation screen. Integrated second-row sunshades are standard on the Touring model. Two-position memory on Touring adjusts driver’s seat and outside mirrors. Ports and outlets include a 115-volt outlet and USB Audio Interface 2 on select models. Second row features climate controls and a 12 volt power outlet. Rear entertainment models include RCA inputs for a game console or other video source.

Honda DVD Rear Entertainment System (RES), available on EX-L3 and standard on Touring, lets rear passengers choose their own distinct audio or video source, or plug in a game console.
Premium audio system on Honda Pilot EX-L with the available RES or Navigation and Touring features 10 speakers, including center channel and subwoofer, surround sound and a 512-watt amplifier. Radio Data System (RDS) on all models can display information on the song currently playing. XM® Radio7 is standard on Honda Pilot EX and above.Digital music files can be accessed through the USB Audio Interface2 on Honda Pilot EX-L with available Navigation4 and Touring or through an MP3/auxiliary input jack on all Pilot models.

2011 Honda Pilot

Drive with a purpose, a mission and the knowledge that you’ve got power to spare. The 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 generates 250 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque – enough to tow up to 4,500 lbs.8 Standard equipment like an integrated Class III trailer hitch, heavy-duty radiator and fluid coolers means the Pilot comes fitted with most of what you need for some serious hauling.

Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology on both 2- and 4-wheel-drive models activates or deactivates certain engine cylinders, giving you power when you need it, more miles between fill-ups and an Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV-2) rating.9 It’s fuel economy10 cleverly disguised as a powerful engine. During steady cruising, the 2011 Honda Pilot V-6 shuts down the entire rear bank of cylinders resulting in greater fuel efficiency.10 An Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system helps control engine noise. When maximum torque is required – such as when you’re merging onto the freeway or climbing a steep hill all six cylinders are firing to deliver the engine’s full power. When cruising speeds climb, the engine moves from 3-cylinder operation to 4-cylinder mode. The transitions between all modes are nearly seamless to the driver.

2011 Honda Pilot Interior

Drive determined. The journey may be half the fun, but you still want to get where you’re going. The Pilot’s rigid unit-body construction, independent suspension and variable power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering help deliver precise handling and a smooth ride. The large wheel and tire combination also helps add to the vehicle’s incredible ride quality and stability. Hill start assist senses when you’re stopped on an incline and will hold the brakes for a brief moment as you transition from the brake to the accelerator to help reduce rollback. 4-wheel independent suspension features a front strut/multi-link rear design for a smooth, carlike ride. The front suspension uses fluid-filled bushings for better ride isolation and vibration control. VTM-4 Lock on 4-wheel-drive models helps when circumstances require use of all available traction. You can manually lock the rear differential with the push of a button located on the instrument panel.

The core Honda belief that every passenger should receive the benefit of advanced safety technologies has led us to become an industry leader in developing and applying robust safety features. The 2011 Honda Pilot is a prime showcase for this philosophy. Brake Assist, a component of the anti-lock braking system (ABS), helps apply full braking force in some emergency situations. Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) helps balance braking forces depending upon dynamic loading. Tire Pressure Monitoring System12 (TPMS) notifies you via the information display when the air pressure in a specific tire is significantly low. Touring models give you an individual pressure readout for each tire.

Six airbags include dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags that can vary their deployment based on collision severity and seat-belt usage, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), and three‑-row side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor. Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA) system helps sense oversteer or understeer and brakes individual wheels and/or reduces engine power to help keep you on your intended course. Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure is a Honda-exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal collisions. The ACE design utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle.

A dream is a view of the world not as it is, but as it could be. For over 60 years, Honda has encouraged its associates to aim beyond what is currently possible. All for the purpose of progressing human mobility. This spirit has resulted in advances in environmental technology, like the FCX Clarity Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, that brings us closer to a future filled with blue skies. It guides us as we strive to exceed government safety regulations and has led to industry-changing innovations on the ground, in the water, and, with the HondaJet, in the air. And it pushes us to use premier race circuits as testing grounds for our ideas. Moving forward, our minds are open to new ideas, no matter where they come from.

It’s all about discovering the moment. The instant where everything comes together perfectly. Achieving it is easier when you’re ready for anything. With a powerful 3.5-liter V-6 engine, three comfortable rows of seats and up to 87 cu ft of cargo space,11 the new 2011 Honda Pilot is definitely your tool of choice. And if your style leans more towards luxury, a new Touring model adds features like a power tailgate, navigation system5 and Bluetooth 7 HandsFreeLink. If the moment at hand involves up to eight people, a load of gear,1 or any combination of the two, the  Honda Pilot is up to the task. The 60/40 split-folding second- and third-row seats give you 16 different configuration options.

The 2011 Honda Pilot exterior screams "utility vehicle," and that theme carries over inside this crossover's large cabin. We mentioned earlier that some feel the interior of the latest Pilot was actually downgraded when the vehicle was redesigned in 2009. You'll get no arguments from us on that point, as the current model's massive center stack and hard plastic materials are outdone by the first generation model's more appropriately sized center console and more appealing materials. And although our tester didn't feature this accessory, the Pilot's dash can be made more attractive by dropping $393 for light wood accents that break up the expanses of dark plastics. Speaking of the center console, we have no idea why Honda designers chose such a massive canvas to place so many tiny and difficult-to-find buttons.

Next Generation 2011-2012 MItsubishi Lancer Evolution SE-MR

The Mitsubishi Evolution was originally intended only for Japanese markets, but demand on the "grey import" market led the Evolution series to be offered through Ralliart dealer networks in the United Kingdom and in various European markets from around 1998. Mitsubishi decided to export the eighth generation Evolution to the United States in 2003 after witnessing the success Subaru had in that market with their Impreza WRX, a direct competitor in other global regions. Japanese-spec cars were limited by a gentlemen's agreement to advertise no more than 280 PS (206 kW; 276 hp), a mark already reached by Evolution IV. Therefore, each subsequent version has unofficially evolved above the advertised power figures, with the Japanese-spec Evolution IX reaching an alleged output of around 321 PS (236 kW; 317 hp). Various versions available in other markets, particularly the UK, have official power outputs up to 411 PS.

2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions

The original Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution was to compete in the World Rally Championship. It used the 2.0 L turbocharged DOHC engine and 4WD drivetrain from the original Galant VR-4 in a Lancer chassis, and was sold in GSR and RS models. The latter was a stripped-down club racing version that lacked power windows and seats, anti-lock brakes, a rear wiper, and had steel wheels to weigh approximately 70 kg (154 lb) less than the 1,238 kg (2,729 lb) GSR, while the former came with all of the conveniences of a typical street car. It came with Mitsubishi's 4G63 engine producing 247 PS (182 kW; 244 hp) at 6000 rpm and 309 N·m (228 lb·ft) at 3000 rpm. 5,000 of the first generation Evolutions were sold between 1992 and 1993. Top speed is 228 km/hour (142 mph).

Two versions of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution car will be offered in the U.S. The 2011 Lancer Evolution MR, with 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST). The other version is the GSR which will have a 5-speed manual transmission system. The car also has a new full-time four-wheel drive system named S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), an advanced version of Mitsubishi's AWC system used in previous generations. The S-AWC uses torque vectoring technology to send different amount of torque to any wheel at any given time.

The Lancer Evolution X sedan features a newly designed 4B11T 2.0L (1998cc) turbocharged, all-aluminium inline-4 engine. Power and torque depend on the market but all versions will have at least 280 PS (206 kW; 276 hp). (JDM version), the American market version will have slightly more. The UK models will be reworked by Mitsubishi UK, in accordance with previous MR Evolutions bearing the FQ badge. Options for the UK Evolutions are expected to be between 300 hp (220 kW) and 360 hp (270 kW).

100, both combine the sporting and the luxurious in the tradition that Sir William established
as Jaguar’s hallmark. Just 500 examples of each of the XJR 100 and XKR 100 (coupe and convertible models combined) will be sold worldwide. All the cars have sleek black metallic paintwork, leather interiors and luxury specifications. In addition, their performance credentials are highlighted with a series of brand new additions to Jaguar’s growing range of R Performance Options, which are initially exclusive to the limited edition cars.

Key features of the new Jaguar XJR and Jaguar XKR include:

• ‘Anthracite’ exterior paintwork plus new, R Performance nine-spoke BBS alloy wheels and cross-drilled Brembo brakes

The Luxury exterior lines of the 2011 Jaguar XJR are emphasised by sleek ‘Anthracite’ paintwork, while its purposeful stance is complemented by a new design of 19 inch, silver-coloured R Performance BBS alloy wheel. Called ‘Montreal’, the nine-spoke wheel is derived from a design first seen on Jaguar’s acclaimed F-TYPE concept car. Powerful, cross-drilled Brembo brakes with silver coloured callipers and red Jaguar script enhance the wheels’ visual impact. Red wheel-centres carry the Jaguar ‘growler’ image and there is an 2011 Jaguar XJR badge on the rear of the car.

Electrochromatic, power-fold and heated door mirrors are added to the exterior feature list of the
standard 2011 Jaguar XJR, which includes mesh front grilles, front fog lamps, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, heated windscreen and rear window, central locking and reverse park control. Inside, distinctive red contrast stitching enlivens the 2011 Jaguar XJR soft, ‘Warm Charcoal’ Autolux leather sports seats, which have a perforated finish to their centre panels. The 12-way adjustable driver’s seat has a three-position memory and both front and rear seats are heated.

Blue stitching also features on the leather of the centre console and door trims, as well as the new designs of R Performance leather-covered sports steering wheel and Momo gear knob. The grey-stained bird’s-eye maple veneer on the dashboard subtly carries the Jaguar XJR name on the passenger side, and the car is also equipped with unique 2011 Jaguar XJR tread plates front and rear.

Other standard interior features on the 2011 and 2012 Jaguar XJR include a DVD navigation system, a premium sound audio system with CD autochanger and nine speakers, automatic climate control, power memory steering column, dual band fixed telephone, electrochromatic rear view mirror, trip computer, front cup holders and convenient audio and phone controls mounted on the steering wheel. Two USB ports, Bluetooth audio streaming and an auxiliary input, which allow the user to connect with peripherals such as iPods, iPhones, laptops and Blackberries. The audio unit utilizes a hard disc drive system. Music CDs are loaded onto the drive. Gracenote software is included to read artist and track information.

2011 Jaguar XJR

The 2011 Jaguar XJR  is fitted with Jaguar’s most powerful road-going engine the 370 bhp (276 kW) supercharged and intercooled 4.0-litre AJ-V8 engine, which is matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. This entertaining but refined combination accelerates the car quietly from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds). Confidence-inspiring roadholding and high-speed stability are delivered by the microprocessor-controlled adaptive damping of Jaguar’s sports-oriented Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS). Like the standard XJR, the Jaguar XJR limited edition is equipped with cruise control, stability control, traction control, and front and side airbags.

2011-2012 Jaguar XJ The Luxury Design and Full Power Speed

2011 Jaguar XJ and 2012 Jaguar XJ

Using the latest in 2011-2012 Jaguar XJ Car IT systems, Jaguar says it uses “Virtual Instruments” to prioritize information, “as well as creating a real sense of theater for the driver”. Replacing the standard cluster are three “virtual dials” - a speedometer, rev counter and information window with fuel and temperature gauges. The rev counter fades away to display information such as low fuel warnings or radio station menus. In Dynamic mode, the dials glow “sporting red”. A “bold” gear position indicator glows red as the rev limit is approached. An 8-inch Touch-screen display in the center manages most of the 2011Jaguar XJ functions, including climate control, audio communications and navigation. Jaguar says the Touch-screen reduces the number of conventional switches to a minimum. The driver can also use an Interactive Voice Control System, which displays a list of voice prompts. This “say what you see” approach allows the driver to gain confidence in talking to their cars, says Jaguar.

2012 Jaguar XJ

The 2012 Jaguar XJ Media Hub provides flexible connectivity through two USB ports, Bluetooth audio streaming and an auxiliary input, which allow the user to connect with peripherals such as iPods, iPhones, laptops and Blackberries. The audio unit utilizes a hard-disc-drive system. Music CDs are loaded onto the drive. Gracenote software is included to read artist and track information. The
vehicle’s navigation system is also HDD-based, providing quicker access and the ability to store and update detailed mapping information more easily than CD or DVD based systems.

“Any good car design indeed the design of anything of value should tell a story. The new 2012 Jaguar XJ does that, with a visual hierarchy and clarity of intent. We took inspiration from classic Jaguars like the Mk2 and original 2011 Jaguar XJ and created a Jaguar for the 21st century with pure, sensual forms,” says Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar Cars.

2012 Jaguar XJ Power

A full secondary bulkhead, laminated glass in the windshield and side door windows, streamlined aerodynamics and an optimized body structure help to reduce noise levels to an absolute minimum.
A panoramic glass roof gives the car a lower, more streamlined roofline, while enhancing the feeling of light and space inside. But, when the driver chooses to put the power and handling abilities to full use, “carefully tuned air intake systems deliver an inspiring engine soundtrack,” says the company. The lightweight aluminum structure makes the new Jaguar XJ at least 300 lbs. lighter over steel body. By using 50% recycled material Jaguar has potentially saved three tons of CO2 per vehicle compared to a body made of new aluminum.

2011-2012 Jaguar XJ

2012 Jaguar XJ Inteior

Jaguar XJ in Power is transmitted through an enhanced version of Jaguar’s electronically controlled, six-speed automatic transmission with a fully-adaptive shift system. Other features include air suspension, Adaptive Dynamics (continuously variable damping), Active Differential Control (on Supercharged and Supersport models) and quick-ratio power steering. The new 2012 Jaguar XJ will be available in the US with a choice of three engines a 5.0 liter 385hp naturally aspirated V8, 5.0 liter 470hp supercharged V8 and a 5.0 liter 510hp supercharged V8.

2011 and 2012 Jaguar XF Is The First Sporting Luxury Sedan

Review 2011 and 2012 Jaguar XF

The profile is unique athletic and assertive, the dramatic lines of a coupe enveloping a spacious cabin with four doors and seating for five adults. And the styling is underpinned by the strength of Jaguar engineering and the latent power of the 2011 Jaguar XF dynamic character. Its looks will engage you emotionally, and its driver-focused engineering will do the rest. The 2011 Jaguar XF: a shape that re-draws the boundaries, a striking Jaguar in a long line of beautiful, fast cars. Its abilities defined by proportion long, low and wide, the Jaguar XF clearly has muscle below its softly contoured skin. The strong grille creates a distinctive signature, emphasizing a broad, solid stance. The low nose, sweeping roofline and powerful shoulders add visual dynamism a promise of performance even when the 2011 Jaguar XF is standing still. And the detailing is exquisite and subtle, from the woven mesh of the grille to the dramatically sculpted light clusters; from the side power vents to the large alloy wheels.

2011-2012 Jaguar XF

The Jaguar XF represents a relaxed, confident and luxurious design supported by outstanding ability, control and performance. This is Sporting Luxury. Inside the spacious interior Jaguar craftsmanship abounds in the exquisite materials and a relentless attention to detail; wood veneer next to textured aluminum and handcrafted leather highlighted by twin-needle stitching. At the heart of the Jaguar XF fascia, a 7 inch Touch-screen controls most major functions, reducing buttons to a discreet panel below the navigation screen. The XF’s Jaguar Drive Selector sets the automotive standard for automatic transmission control. Its rotary action is positive and intuitive. The compact design creates space for more technological comforts such as iPod® or MP3 player connectivity.

Many features remain hidden until they are actually needed the 2011 Jaguar XF automatic climate control system includes rotating vents that roll quietly and smoothly out of sight when not in use. At night, Phosphor blue halo illumination takes its cues from contemporary design. And the same soothing hue highlights the aluminum-faces of the XF’s instruments.

2011 Jaguar XF

Jaguar’s intelligent use of technology and driver-friendly Touch-screen controls

JaguarSense automatically activates the front interior lights and glove box release. And the
optional JaguarVoice controls many features simply by asking. The optional Blind Spot Monitor
takes much of the uncertainty out of lane changing, while available front and rear parking aids make maneuvering easier. Choose the XF’s rear camera and objects that may have been obscured when reversing can now be more easily seen.

The Jaguar Smart Key keyless entry system standard on Premium Luxury and Supercharged models– is a thoughtful feature that combines convenience with ease of use. Approach the 2011 Jaguar XF with its Jaguar Smart Key, pull the door release, and the system triggers the security-protected opening. Intuitive simplicity in action. Inside, Jaguar intuition continues. Press the start button and the
JaguarDrive Selector rises softly – into the palm of your hand, which can now select driving
positions. As the Jaguar XF starts, the rotating vents turn silently from their flush, parked position to
their functional open position, and the navigation system scrolls to its home page. The 2011 Jaguar XF is ready to be experienced.

2011 Jaguar XF

Every level of the 2011 Jaguar XF audio system features full iPod and MP3 connectivity with available function control through the 7 inch Touchscreen, and includes at least eight speakers plus a subwoofer. The optional Bowers & Wilkins 440W surround sound system is designed in association with one of the audio industry’s most respected specialists, who understand sound as deeply as Jaguar understands engineering. Like Jaguar, Bowers & Wilkins pride themselves on their critically acclaimed craftsmanship. Admired by audiophiles, artists and recording engineers alike, their signature Kevlar® mid-range drivers and specially designed aluminumdome tweeters complete a sound system tuned by Bowers & Wilkins’ acoustic experts specifically for the Jaguar XF. The system features a remote
amplifier with Dolby® ProLogic® II surround sound and 13 speakers plus subwoofer.

Jaguar knows that at the heart of a great car is a great engine. The Jaguar XF 4.2-liter V8s are compact and light, but big on performance and refinement, both engines featuring all-aluminum construction, variable camshaft phasing, four overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The naturally aspirated V8 develops 300 bhp and 310 lb-ft of torque, with wonderful refinement, deep character and effortless performance. The supercharged version uses a rotor-type supercharger, driven from the crankshaft and with helical rotor gears for low noise and coated rotors for high efficiency. It develops an incredible 420 bhp, and up to 413 lb-ft of torque. That is the real beauty of mechanically driven supercharging massive torque and instant, linear responses.

2011-2012 Jaguar XF

The 2011 Jaguar XF six-speed automatic transmission has superb characteristics. The exceptionally rapid fully adaptive shift system responds to both road conditions and the way the car is driven, to give the smoothest gear shifts and optimum performance. The XF’s JaguarDrive Selector adds another layer of driver-centered sophistication precise and intuitive control by using new generation shift-by-wire technology. It offers fully automatic shifting in Drive or Sport modes, and one-touch manual selection through the XF’s Jaguar Sequential Shift using F1 style paddle shifts. And the XF’s Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system opens up a series of shift modes on demand from the Winter mode to the maximum involvement Dynamic mode, exclusive to the Supercharged XF .

The 2011 Jaguar XF drives as dynamically as it looks. The body structure is light but exceptionally rigid with the strength to underpin outstanding safety credentials and the stiffness to carry a suspension whose balance of comfort and control was honed by intensive Jaguar development. For the Supercharged Jaguar XF, that includes the adaptive damping strategy of Jaguar’s Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATSTM). For every Jaguar XF it includes Servotronic variable ratio power assisted steering  providing minimum parking effort at low speeds and maximum precision at higher speeds. With wide tires, and powerful disc brakes all round. The Jaguar XF combines the comfort and refinement of a luxury sedan with the grip, balance and stability of a sports car.

2011-2012 Jaguar XF

If sporting is one defining word for the 2011 Jaguar XF; refined is another. The stiff structure, smooth powertrains, and careful attention to acoustic management are essential ingredients for the XF’s exceptional quietness and comfort. Outstanding aerodynamics play their part, too, with low
drag and low wind noise going hand in hand. And the XF’s V8 exhaust systems are tuned for an overtly sporty sound quality.

The 2011 Jaguar XF light but high-strength new generation steel bodyshell is shaped by Computer Aided Design to be torsionally stiff for precise handling. Two-stage Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) plus TracDSC add to this precision under various road conditions. Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), ABS anti-lock braking, Traction Control, Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and Engine Drag Control (EDR) all help optimize braking effort and reduce braking distances without sacrificing
control. And even a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) helps prevent difficult conditions from becoming dangerous ones.

These advanced active features are further complimented by sophisticated passive safety systems such as two-stage driver and front passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, Seat Weight Sensing and Occupant Position Sensing that work as needed in individual circumstances. Add to this Active Head Restraints built into the front seats, and ‘soft-landing’ technology in the seat belt retractors to soften contact with the front airbags. Of course, you may never need Jaguar’s innovative safety systems but they’re there to deploy if you ever do.

The 2011 Jaguar XF is a unique vehicle that can be further tailored to your individual style and needs. The key choices of trim and equipment level, the color range, the leathers and veneers, the exact style and size of alloy wheels the Jaguar XF can be customized to your specifications. And when it comes to equipment and accessories, that is your choice, too – literally from the seats you sit in to the sound system you listen to, to the way you control the specific features.

2011 Jaguar XJL

The all-new 2011 Jaguar XJ was revealed to critical acclaim this past July, and features a new frame that is pressure cast from aluminum and magnesium to give the Jaguar XJL a strong, light architecture that improves fuel efficiency, structural rigidity and performance. A panoramic glass roof enables the car to have a lower, more streamlined roofline, while dramatically enhancing the feeling of light and space inside. The vehicle's LED light clusters wrap stylishly over the rear wings, and feature three dramatic red vertical stripes while the elongated teardrop shape of the side windows establishes the car’s silhouette.

2010-2011 Jaguar XJL

The sleek Jaguar XJL design and refined luxury is continued inside the all-new XJ by mixing newly advanced technologies and contemporary design to create an environment more akin to a state-of-the-art living space than a car cabin. Chrome and piano black detailing provide an eye-catching contrast to the beautifully crafted leather and veneer surfaces. At the center of the instrument panel is an analog clock with individual chrome chaplets, a spun metal face and iridescent blue background; a look inspired by luxury watches.

There are stunning, three-dimensional, interactive 12.3" high-definition Virtual InstrumentsTM that complement an innovative 8-inch Touch-screen that displays vehicle functions ranging from audio and video to navigation and climate control all in the driver's line of vision. There’s also a media hub with docks for MP3 players and USB devices, a Bowers &Wilkins 1,200-watt premium sound system with Dolby ProLogic IIx Surround Sound and 20 speakers throughout the cabin.

2011 Jaguar XJL

From its beginning as a manufacturer of motorcycle sidecars in 1922, Jaguar Cars has grown to become one of the world’s premier manufacturers of luxury sedans and sports cars and with that, one of the most recognized commercial brands. The company's vision is simple: To produce beautiful fast cars that are desired the world over. The company operates two manufacturing plants in the United Kingdom and is fully engaged in environmental programs, community work and brand awareness exercises such as motorsports.

The JAGUAR 2011 XJL is fitted with the kind of interior that can make you resent your proletariat upbringing. Every surface is wrapped in supple leather, stitched with the kind of loving care that only the English can supply. Surprisingly enough, the front seats are built with firm, supportive bolsters that kept us from sliding around the hide-lined cabin like dead fish something unexpected in a vehicle of this size. The Jaguar XJL wears a dash that's a vast expanse of double-stitched cow skin dominated by two large, aeronautical-looking air vents.

2011 Jaguar XJL Interior

Those vents boast chrome accents that double as airflow shut off knobs the kind of mechanical detail that makes us wish every manufacturer had a budget for cleverness.  Rear passengers enjoy the kind of leg room that sufferers of economy class can only dream about. As a friend pointed out, the average owner of an 2011 Jaguar XJL likely spends very little time behind the wheel. He's probably right. But while the front seats are no bad place to spend time thanks to their massage, heating and cooling surfaces, it's the back bench that offers up a new class of travel. With enough space to comfortably orient your legs any way that behooves you and seats that are more comfortable than a fair portion of the nation's furniture, we might have to look into finding a driver for ourselves.

It took four hours and four minutes for Jaguar to sell all 50 of its special edition 2011 Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus cars that were offered exclusively through the retailer's Christmas Book. Jaguar produced only 50 of the 2011 Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition vehicles which retailed at $105,000.

2011 Ford Escape Hybrids Green Technology and Connectivity

For 2011, Ford Escape Hybrid is expected to continue its claim as America’s most fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly SUV, based on EPA estimates of 34 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Ford Escape Hybrid models use a 2.5-liter I-4 designed to run on the Atkinson combustion cycle. An advanced engine processor enables nearly imperceptible transitions between gas and electric vehicle mode, and the Hybrid also features a powertrain damping system to reduce vibrations and feedback to the driver and other occupants.

2011 Ford escape Hybrid

The 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid Limited is packaged for environmentally conscious buyers who still want a full complement of accessories and equipment. Along with its gas counterpart, the Limited features 16-inch bright machined aluminum wheels and exterior chrome accents, a standard six-speaker audio system, chrome and ebony interior touches, and a luxury and convenience package that includes ambient lighting, heated front leather seats, a power moonroof, Reverse Sensing System, rear view camera system and universal garage door opener.

2011 Ford escape Hybrid

2011 Ford Escape Hybrids, while known for their fuel efficiency and advancements in green technology, have the equally unflattering reputation of being less fun to drive and underpowered when compared to their gas driven counterparts.  The Escape Hybrid ignores this precedent and lays these concerns to rest with superior drivability and ample power, coming jointly from a 153-horsepower, 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 136 pounds-feet of torque, and a 94-horsepower, 330-volt permanent magnet motor.  They combine for a total power output of 247-horsepower, getting the Escape Hybrid from 0-60 mph in less than 10 seconds placing it firmly within the normal acceleration numbers for its segment.

2011 Ford Escape Hybrids Electric Power- Assisted Steering
Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) reduces the load on the engine since a belt-driven power steering pump is no longer required. Built-in pull-drift compensation detects road conditions – such as a crowned road surface or crosswinds and adjusts the steering system to help the driver compensate for pulling and drifting.

2011 Ford Escape Hybrid continues its theme of sustainability with available eco-friendly seats. The seats are made from 100 percent post-industrial recycled materials. Eco-friendly seats created with soy-based foam that substitutes for petroleum-based products also are available on the Escape.

2011 Ford Escape Hybrids

The 2011 Escape Hybrid comes with seating for five, and 60/40 split rear seats that fold down to increase cargo room.  Standard features abound on the interior, including dual-zone climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming mirror, audio input jack, eco-friendly seats, and a six-way power driver’s seat.  Ford’s acclaimed SYNC® In-Car connectivity system is also standard, allowing you to access your music and phone controls using voice commands, as well as providing a host of safety services, such as 911 Assist™ which automatically dials 911 after an airbag deployment.  An upgrade to the Limited trim brings with it standard leather seating, heated front seats, a rear view camera, and a premium stereo system.

2011 Ford Escape Hybrids

Standard and available 2011 Ford Escape technology features include:
• SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system with Traffic, Directions and Information
